The main index of the Damascus Securities Exchange, at the end of trading for the fourth week of February, increased 34.63 points from last week, boosted by the positive results of shares of six companies with the release of financial results for the past year for a number of companies and closed at a value of 6,365.75 points and a positive change of 0.55 percent.

As for the leading shares index, burdened with free shares, "DLX", it also increased by 3, 87 points, or 0.35 percent, and closed at 1117.22 points.

This week, 17 companies traded their shares, with a volume of 432,289 shares, distributed among 654 deals, with a total value of 317 million pounds.

The market witnessed changes in the shares of 11 companies, of which the shares of six companies rose, namely Al Badia and Aqila Takaful Insurance Company, Bemo Saudi Fransi Bank, Al Baraka Bank, Sham Bank, International Bank and Finance.

The five low stocks are Fransabank, Qatar National Bank, Al-Sharq Bank, Syria International Islamic Bank and United Insurance Company.

The shares of the other 16 companies listed on the market did not record any change in their prices and closed equal to the previous closing prices.

Market management requested the listed companies to provide them with financial results for the year 2019 before the end of next March.
