The price of fuels would be updated again next Sunday by the entry into force of a rise in the carbon dioxide tax, although in the sector they do not rule out government efforts to avoid transfer to suppliers.
According to Clarín, the industry's referents, a resolution by the Federal Public Revenue Administration (AFIP) sets a rise in the rate of carbon dioxide.
The modification, as calculated, would result in an increase of $ 0.09 for gasoline and $ 0.10 in the case of diesel.
However, it was clarified that " there was still no news of its application by the government and oil companies " and therefore "it is estimated that it could be absorbed."
On the other hand, it is not ruled out that the Casa Rosada can once again extend the increase in the tax on liquid fuels.
At the end of last month, the Government postponed a rise in that fee until February 29 to avoid its transfer to fuel prices.
The renewal was carried out quarterly by the variation of the Consumer Price index, until Mauricio Macri began deferring it in October. Subsequently, the terms continued to be postponed, until this new postponement.
