The gasoline sold by YPF, both the super and the premium (Infinia) rose on Monday between 13 and 15 cents. It is a consequence of an update in one of the taxes that affects the dispatch of fuels.

This is the carbon dioxide tax, which was updated and impacted prices. The rise in that tribute was 10 cents. The other oil companies are expected to replicate the movement of the largest player in the market.

An update of the tax on liquid fuels (ICL) and Carbon was planned for March. But the Executive Branch decided to postpone the application of the first -ICL- for at least one month. That way, he prevented a climb.

The update of the ICL was suspended by a political decision. In January, YPF shuffled the idea of raising fuels by 5%, but President Alberto Fernández denied that this would happen even though it had been announced. Thus I discredit YPF President Guillermo Nielsen.

The increase in the Carbon tax affects 0.2% of the final price. The update is for a fixed amount of 10 cents.

In the oil companies, the increase is dramatic. "With that raise (between 13 and 15 cents, you can't buy a candy," they refute.
