Guillaume Fievet, owner of PME: “We feel we have a role to play in this crisis”

In 1944, his Franco-Swedish great-uncle, Raoul Nordling, played an essential role in the Liberation of Paris against the German general von Choltitz. Is this diplomat that Orson Welles interprets in René Clément's film, Is Paris Burning? The great-uncle was not just a Swedish consul. He also founded, in 1924, the company Prodef (French cleaning products), today managed by Guillaume Fievet. Guillaume, the great-grand-nephew therefore, aged 43, a long-time manager at Lafarge before taking over the family business, struggles to keep it afloat and develop it. It has 110 employees on three sites in France, with an annual turnover of 25 million euros. At the heart of this production, there are disinfectant hygiene products and hydroalcoholic gels produced by Hygiène et Nature , the Dijon subsidiary, but also Marseille soap, the real one, made according to the rules of the art by La Savonnerie du Midi, bought in 2013.
