Coronavirus: "Are the unemployed entitled to a work stoppage for childcare?"

2020-03-30T09:33:48.993Z

The Pôle emploi control rules are relaxed in this period of health crisis.

Every day, Le Parisien takes action to answer your questions about the coronavirus. Today we are interested in this question from one of our readers: "How is it going for the unemployed and stops for children?" "

Job seekers do not benefit from work stoppages, says Pôle Emploi. “On the other hand, if you are a trainee in vocational training, you are then treated as an employee of the training organization and can benefit from a work stoppage. It is your training organization that must carry out the process on declare.ameli.fr to allow you to benefit from it, ”adds the organization to its site.

However, the compensation rules are relaxed in this period of crisis. “The control of the job search is suspended during the entire period of confinement. No job seeker will be struck off or punished during this period, ”says Pôle Emploi.

Extended compensation

The payment of the Return to Employment Allowance (ARE) is also extended for people at the end of their rights, the intermittent workers in the show and those who worked again during this period of compensation. The same is true for beneficiaries of the Specific Solidarity Allowance (ASS). "The renewal of rights will be studied at the end of the confinement period," says Pôle Emploi.

Despite the containment measures, Pôle emploi still encourages job seekers to continue their research, especially in sectors in tension due to the health crisis. All the details are available on their page dedicated to coronavirus.
