The quantities of industrial cotton seeds resulting from the beloved cotton gin operations, which were supplied by Al-Asi Grocery in Hama to oil companies in the public and private sectors, amounted to 9257 tons.
Engineer Yasser Halabiyya, the manager of the gin, stated that 4,710 tons of Hama oils were marketed to cotton seeds compared to 4,547 tons for a number of private sector companies, pointing out that the quantities of granulated cotton that were ginned in the gin from the beginning of the ginning operations to date exceeded 16,550 tons of the total quantity received For the current season, which is 19,213 tons.
He explained that the ginning operations are carried out through two shifts with a capacity ranging between 100 and 120 tons per day, indicating that the gin has received 5038 tons of ginning cotton bales to the spinning companies in Homs, Lattakia, Jableh and Hama.
He noted that sterilization and cleaning campaigns are being followed on a daily basis in the gin as part of precautionary measures to tackle the new Corona virus and sterilization of gin machinery and preventive spraying of workers ’transport mechanisms and production halls, in addition to distributing protective masks and sterilizers throughout the day in addition to sterilizing the rooms in order to protect workers and people dealing with the gin.
