The Ministry of Finance issued a decision to terminate the agreements signed with tourist feeding establishments for which monthly consensual work figures have been approved in order to reduce the financial burdens on the owners of these establishments, given that it stopped working in whole or in part as a result of the precautionary measures taken to address the emerging Corona virus.
The decision, which Sana obtained a copy of, indicated that the financial directorates in the governorates will follow specific controls in addressing the conditions of those charged with distinguishing between those whose activities have ceased completely and whose activities have ceased in part.
The Ministry of Finance had concluded several agreements of the past years with the taxpayers of tourist feeding establishments at the level of two stars and above to facilitate the verification and collection process and to provide the treasury with unrealized collections and the Ministry is obligated according to it not to send income monitors to those establishments.
