Russian President Vladimir Putin considered that the Corona virus was more effective in the Russian economy than the global financial crisis in 2008 and 2009.
And Russia's website today quoted Putin as saying during a meeting on developing the auto industry in Russia that in those years there was a global financial crisis and now the Corona virus epidemic has significantly curtailed commercial activity inside Russia in a number of areas where the situation has become more complicated.
Today, the Russian health authorities announced the registration of 5,849 cases of coronavirus, taking the death toll to more than 68,622 cases.
