But it seems that after a few weeks of confinement without a hairdresser, the buyers have cracked. In the same vein, electric epilators saw their requests increase by 117% compared to April 2019. "But we are staying on small volumes", nuances the director of the Dénicheur.
Already in high demand in the past year and months, food processors have also been boosted by containment. Searches have increased by 253% in one year on the Finder who finds an equivalent number of requests for a hair clipper, a food processor or a printer. "Our sales of food processors have doubled since confinement," observed e-trader Cdiscount. Yogurt makers and bread makers recorded a 60% increase in sales. This illustrates, as we have seen in photos on social networks, a craze for home-made. "
On the Rakuten marketplace, baking robots are the third products on the site to experience the strongest sales growth, behind puzzles (+1,000%) and gardening, which includes garden tools (+ 275%) and games outdoors such as a slide and trampoline (+ 400%).
Summer products break through
