Companies are preparing to organize the May 11 deconfinement puzzle. And if the government insists that all workers in telework continue their activity remotely and calls for the spreading of time slots, the Ministry of Labor must publish Monday the new rules of business life.
"The essential resumption of activity must necessarily be articulated with the protection of employees," said the ministry, which has already published guides to hygiene measures for each profession. Part of these rules grouped in a document in seven parts was revealed by the Journal du Dimanche.
Daily disinfection of premises, toilets and door handles
Employers will have the obligation to respect these measures, regardless of the size and location of their business. Among these rules is the establishment of a minimum space of 4 m² per employee in shops and offices. A rule valid in all areas of society whether offices, catering spaces, corridors or elevators.
If it was impossible to comply with the total available space, the company will be obliged to provide masks to its employees. The rooms, toilets and door handles must also be disinfected every day, or even several times a day. The security gates must be condemned. If this is not possible, hydroalcoholic gel should be offered nearby.
Companies will not, however, be able to impose the temperature measurement in front of their premises or inside: this measure is considered too intrusive. Screening campaigns for the new coronavius will also be banned. In the event of non-compliance with these rules, employers will incur civil and criminal liability.
