In this period of crisis, there are still happy business leaders, including when they do not make masks, blouses, or gel ... This is the case of the leaders of Martin-Pouret, a small company created in 1797 which is the very last to produce vinegar according to the tradition of Orleans. Paul-Olivier Claudepierre, Managing Director, and David Matheron, President, have been in charge of this 15-employee company since last fall. They bought it from the last descendant of the Martin-Pouret dynasty, with the ambition of "waking up this sleeping beauty".
Seven months later, their efforts begin to pay off. They have just taken pride of place in the shelves of 150 Monoprix stores in France. A beautiful showcase for Martin-Pouret vinegars, but also mustard and pickles which complement a range of 100% French products. "It is the first time that we have benefited from a national distribution in a chain of large distribution", welcomes the general manager.
On its own, this partnership should boost the company's sales by 10%, which made a turnover of 2.2 million last year, and other innovations are on the horizon, such as this redesigned visual identity that we'll find out in a few weeks. The new bosses also want to strengthen the export. For the post-crisis, they are betting on Japan or the USA, and have already chosen their starting base to conquer America. It will be ... New Orleans!
