The Turkish lira continued to decline, recording today a record low.

Reuters reported that the Turkish lira fell to 7.25 pounds to the dollar to continue its losses after comments from one of the US central bank policy makers, interpreted by traders as excluding the possibility of the central extension of the currency swap line with Ankara.

The euro rose after three days of decline to 1.0888 dollars, as the dollar rose in the latest transactions by 0.2 percent against the yen, recording 106.31 yen, while the Australian dollar rose by 0.8 percent to record 6473.0 dollars.

Sterling rose against the euro and the dollar by 0.4 percent after the Bank of England refrained from further stimulus measures.
