Drawing on the lessons of containment, many large companies may well radically change their management methods. “Reflections on this subject are already emerging. It is likely that in 2021 or 2022, once life has returned to normal, they will lead to more fluid organizations, with fewer hierarchical levels ”,observes Benoît Serre, deputy vice-president of ANDRH (National Association of Directors of Human Resources). Large French groups were, for many, still attached to old-fashioned management, with strong hierarchical control of employees, based largely on presence in the office and a sometimes excessive reporting requirement. This model, already often criticized, has been shattered when it was necessary to switch, without preparation, to full telework.
