" The economic and social consequences of this crisis will be deep and lasting, " warned PS Mayor of Paris Anne Hidalgo, who recalled recent figures from INSEE, " the loss of activity is estimated at -37.5% in Paris, against -34.5% in France ”. " In addition to emergency and support measures, measures to boost and help the living and cultural forces, and support the most vulnerable, " she said to elected officials, some of whom were present. in the hemicycle, while others participated in the debates by videoconference.
Series of measures
In a context where the deconfinement in Paris and its classification in the red zone makes it difficult to reopen bars, restaurants, cultural places, the City, already in debt of almost 6 billion euros, sees some of its revenues melt, which it estimates around 350 million euros from the 2020 budget.
But to revive the economy, the mayor of Paris announced a series of measures including the “ six month rent exemptions from our lessors for closed VSEs and associations ” (which represents 75 million euros), “ exemptions six months of fees and charges "including" terrace and display rights "(ie 40 million euros), investment aid for businesses (6 million euros), support for tourism (5 million euros ), aid to actors in the social and solidarity economy (4 million), measures for the cultural world (15 million euros), a support fund for associations (10 million euros) ... in total , almost 200 million euros in exceptional aid.
" The announced support plan in no way corresponds to the necessary crisis budget (...) it is complicated as the city is in debt ", tackled the mayor LR of the 7th arrondissement, and candidate for mayor of Paris, Rachida Dati. The candidate LR pointed out actors, according to her, forgotten by this plan such as " the liberal doctors ", " students " or the " disaster event sector ".
