Every day, Le Parisien mobilizes to answer your questions around the coronavirus. Today we are interested in the question of Robin, who wonders if the thermal centers will be able to reopen at the time of deconfinement.
A priori, no. The majority of spa establishments, which have been closed since mid-March, did not yet feel ready to reopen on May 11. We will probably have to wait until this summer to see more clearly.
For example, La Chaîne thermale du Soleil, which manages 20 sites in France, announced on its site that the reopening of its thermal baths was "unlikely before the end of June". "As nothing allows us to precisely date the future reopening, we have chosen to consider July 13 as the reference date," said the group.
Customers invited to postpone their stay in the fall
Customers who plan to follow a cure in these establishments are invited to postpone their stay in the fall as soon as possible. The Valvital group, which owns 11 spas, has set the same reference date on its site, and offers postponements until 2021, or cancellations.
For the other thermal baths, changes in season dates are planned to compensate for the cures canceled between March and July. To find out more, do not hesitate to contact the establishments directly.
