Sales of old homes were maintained at a high level in the first quarter in France and the rise in prices accelerated, despite the start of containment against the coronavirus, show Thursday the figures established by INSEE and notaries.
In the first quarter, prices increased on average by 5% compared to a year earlier, a more marked development than in 2019. Sales, however, remained above the threshold of the million last year last, to 1.04 million at the end of March, despite a slight slowdown.
