While Renault must present, Friday, the content of its plan to save two billion euros, it has already specified the number of job cuts. The group has, in fact, announced this Thursday evening to its unions that it plans to remove 15,000 around the world, including 4,500 in France, as part of its three-year savings plan, said Franck Daout , representing CFDT, on BFM TV.

Such a plan represents a reduction of just under 10% of the group's workforce at the diamond, which amounted last year to 180,000 people worldwide and 48,500 people in France.
"Natural retirements"
"(In France), there are not 4,500 dry redundancies but natural retirements (...) and the system of voluntary departures which has been in place for a few years" , explained Franck Daout to l from an extraordinary central CSE. “The striking point is that the job cuts and (...) especially the reorganization of sites will be done by negotiation with public authorities and union organizations. They put a lot of emphasis on it, " he added.
Renault, which last year accused its first net loss in ten years, must present Friday morning to financial analysts and the press a savings plan of two billion euros to raise the bar.
