But we must remember that franchises like ours are not affected, while the effort they made was the same. To ensure that his employees are rewarded, Franck Friquet launched a Leetchi kitty on the Internet.
Customers and anyone who wanted to were able to deposit a sum of money to participate in the bonus. For a 1 euro deposited in the kitty, the management of Carrefour Contact in Scey-sur-Sâone gave 2 euros: 735 euros were initially deposited by 24 people, mainly customers.
400 euros paid to each employee
With the contribution desired by management, each employee was able to benefit from a bonus of nearly 400 euros. "We're going to take a little vacation anyway, we deserved it," explained one of the cashiers at the convenience store. This sum will be used to go to the restaurant or to please the children. "
Since then, other customers have come to deposit money directly at the store, which will be passed on to the pay stubs. "I was told that I could have paid the entire 1000 euros bonus," adds Franck Friquet. But forget that I am not a CEO who is drowning in gold. Some store employees earn as much as I do. I am just a small Carrefour franchisee, in this business that I have had for twelve years. "
During the confinement, the customers were present and the average baskets more substantial. "The local clientele came in large numbers, they did not take the car to go to a hypermarket," rejoices Franck Friquet again. I hope that we were able to score a few points with them and that they will not forget us. That would also be our reward. "
