Every day, Le Parisien mobilizes to answer your questions around the coronavirus. We are looking at Sylvie's question today: "I have an isolation certificate for long-term illness, can I break it to go back to work?" "

Your doctor, or Medicare, has deemed you to be vulnerable to Covid-19 because of your long-term condition, which is why he has granted you an isolation certificate. This document is framed by a decree, which defines the conditions of vulnerability to the virus and is currently still in progress.

This means that if your employer decides, despite this certificate, to physically return you to work, he puts his responsibility at stake, particularly in the event that you fall ill. He therefore has no right, confirms the Ministry of Labor.

Telework or partial activity

You must, throughout the duration of the legality of the isolation certificate (the end date of which should soon be defined by decree, here too), be considered to be in partial activity and benefit from the related allowances.

You can also, in agreement with your employer and if your profession allows it, work from your home.
