Starting Monday, some 18,000 clothing and footwear stores will reopen in the City of Buenos Aires. Fabián Castillo , president of FECOBA , the federation that brings together Buenos Aires businesses and industries told how they are preparing and what customers have to take into account when buying again, after 80 days when these stores remained closed by the quarantine.

"We are working, bringing the protocols to all the stores," he told the program Let's Say Everything, on CNN Radio. The protocol states the following:

* Only one person can enter the premises every 15 square meters.

* At the entrance of the premises there must be a floor cloth with bleach and water. People will pass over the rag to enter the premises, and as soon as they enter, there must be gel alcohol.

* The client that enters must have the chinstrap on and also the one that attends,

* The person who attends must be one and a half meters away from the client.

* The fitting rooms will be closed , the clothes cannot be tested.

* "You ask for a jacket of your size, buy the jacket, take it and try it on at home," Castillo explained. "If it didn't, change it again."

* What happens to the returned garment? "With the garment that is returned there are two processes: a quarantine, between 24 and 48 hours, in which the merchandise is separated before returning to the shelf, or there is another protocol that our colleagues from Spain passed us, which is steam. With a steam iron, which does not have to be professional, above 75 degrees this virus disappears, "explained the head of Fecoba.

* Footwear if you can try it, with stockings.

Castillo indicated that on Tuesday they will meet again with the Buenos Aires government to analyze the items that are pending in April. "We have, for example, the bookstores on Corrientes Street, the hairdressers, the car washes. There are arteries that were opened and then closed again, like the furniture stores on Belgrano Avenue. They are spacious premises, not there is an agglomeration in those places, also Libertad street, with the jewelry stores, which are closed, "he explained.

As explained by the leader, in the City there are 62 neighborhood shopping centers, in which from the beginning of the quarantine  20% of the shops were closed.

"We come from two years of recession, from complicated situations and especially SMEs and we found this situation, the pandemic, which found us weak," he said. "We must rebuild the productive value chain for the day after tomorrow. Today we know the consequences of this pandemic for the commercial sector, which is the largest, and also affects the industrial sector, which is what supplies trade," he said. . "We have to start looking for consumption to revive."
