Through a known statement on Tuesday night, the Argentine Business Association (AEA), made up of the owners of the most important companies in the country, rejected the intervention and the expropriation project of the Vicentin company.
"This decision has not respected a basic principle of legal certainty since it is not the power of the Executive Power to intervene in a company that is in bankruptcy," said the entity chaired by Jaime Campos and whose partners include Paolo Rocca (Techint) , Luis Pagani (Arcor), Marcos Galperin (Mercado Libre), Carlos Miguens (Grupo Miguens-Bemberg), Alfredo Coto (Coto supermarkets), among many others.
AEA added in its statement: "This fact is serious since legal certainty is a central attribute that provides the essential confidence for the productive investments that our country urgently requires to be carried out.
And he closed: "The nationalization of a company that operates in a definitively exporting sector is a serious error that must be corrected. Indeed, it is the private sector that bears the responsibility of controlling, directing, and administering companies in the Argentina".
Simultaneously, this Tuesday at their meeting of the Board of Directors of the Argentine Industrial Union (UIA) they analyzed Alberto Fernández's decision to intervene and expropriate the cereal company.
"Regarding the announcement of the transitory intervention and the subsequent treatment of the law that the Executive Power will send to the National Congress for the declaration of public utility and expropriation of the company, the Board of Directors stated the need to guarantee effective respect for the principle of Legality. This is a necessary condition for the development of private companies and investment. Both will be fundamental in the exit from the economic recession, starting from production and employment, "said the UIA.
President Alberto Fernandez shared a lunch last December with members of the Association businesswoman Argentina.
On Wednesday of last week, the President received several business owners and executives in Olivos. Some of those who make up AEA were present, although not on behalf of the entity.

Just this Tuesday, after learning of Vicentin's expropriation plan, the former economy minister issued a harsh warning, comparing it to the YPF nationalization carried out during the Cristina Kirchner administration.
