"The people who matter in the office" # 23: The snacker!

2020-07-03T07:51:02.882Z

LE BUREAULOGUE - Every Friday, Le Figaro gives you an appointment with a "cliché" character from our entourage who poisons or brightens the corporate world.

He - or she - arrives in the open space with Saint-Michel madeleines, displaying a little guilty air. Guilty of what? Of course snacking! In the morning, at noon, at tea time ... At any time, in fact, because snacking has no time. And it is terribly contagious ...

Put a compulsive snacker on a service of five to ten people. A few weeks later, this corporate scourge will have spread and the average weight of the team will have increased ... Each year, at the start of the school year, it is all well and good to make good resolutions, they are quickly nibbled!

Tempting treats

What does the snacker look like? Whatever the clichés: we don't necessarily have to deal with someone who is round, a bit wrapped up. The snacker is sometimes unsuspected until it is revealed.

By altruism and kindness, he pushes his comrades to consumption. He leaves his chocolate bars, his packets of colored candies, his cookie trays lying around on his desk. He goes around the office, armed with his tempting treats. The risk period? The holiday season ... A moment when the summer body is still a vague project.

Top management too

The bag of croissants or chouquettes, brought unexpectedly, is a very simple way to put binder in the team. Because snacking is also a proven management technique.

It is also practiced in top management which has closed offices. The advantage? You can nibble there in peace, out of sight. Unless isolating yourself between four walls is the best way to escape the temptation when the open space yields to the sin of gluttony.
