Gold prices fell today as the dollar held on to its recent gains.
According to Reuters, the spot price of gold was down 0.2 percent to 20.20 dollars an ounce.
And US gold futures rose 0.6 percent to $ 2040.80.
And gold reached a record high of $ 2072.50 on Friday, then fell about two percent with the dollar's recovery due to data showing the growth of US non-farm jobs, 1,763 million jobs in July.
Silver fell 0.2 percent to $ 28.24 an ounce, while platinum rose 1.2 percent to $ 972.93, and palladium settled at $ 2177.04 an ounce.
