Gold prices fell today by more than two percent, retreating from the important level of $ 1900 an ounce, as the dollar rose again.
Reuters reported that the gold price in spot transactions fell 2.5 percent near the three-week low of $ 1863.67 an ounce, to continue declining after stabilizing for a while in early trading.
This decline comes after the price of gold plunged 6 percent in yesterday's trading.
US gold futures fell today by 2.8 percent to 1892 dollars an ounce.
With regard to the rest of the precious metals, silver fell 3.3 percent to $ 23.96 an ounce, after dropping 15 percent in the previous session, and platinum fell 0.3 percent to $ 927.60, while palladium rose 1.1 percent to $ 2113.49 an ounce.
