This Monday ANSES finished paying the third batch of the Emergency Family Income (IFE) to people who receive the Universal Child Allowance (AUH) and the Universal Allowance for Pregnancy (AUE). From tomorrow then the payment starts for most of the beneficiaries of the $ 10,000 bond.

According to ANSES data, the holders of AUH and AUE are 27% of the 9 million people who charge IFE. The remaining 73% is the bulk that begins to collect the third payment tomorrow, more than five months after the start of the quarantine.

The payment that starts this Tuesday is for those who in the last two months reported their bank account to ANSES. That is why the bonus will be charged through a transfer.

As happened in the previous phase, payment will be made based on the last number of the DNI. For each number there will be two business days of payment , in such a way that about 300,000 people will be charging per day, as reported from ANSES.

In this way, it seeks to prevent people from crowding at ATMs in the middle of the quarantine. Thus, tomorrow, Tuesday 25 and Wednesday 26, people who have already informed the uniform bank code (CBU) and whose ID numbers end in 0 will be charged .

How the schedule continues

For DNIs ending in 1, payment will be made on Thursday 27 and Friday 28, while for those ending in 2 , the collection date will be Monday 31 and Tuesday 1 September.

Holders of documents ending in 3 will receive the IFE on Wednesday 2 and Thursday 3; and those that end in 4 , on Friday 4 and Monday 7.

On Tuesday 8 and Wednesday 9, documents ending in 5 will receive the income , while on Thursday 10 and Friday 11, those ending in 6.

On Monday the 14th and Tuesday the 15th the payment will be made to the documents finished in 7 ; on Wednesday 16 and Thursday 17, at 8 and, finally, on Friday 18 and Monday 21, to DNIs ending in 9 .

"The extension of the IFE 3 schedule seeks to avoid crowds in the context of a pandemic and thus take care of the health of Argentines and Argentine women," explained ANSES when disseminating the payment schedule.

Cost of the measure

With this third batch included, the State has earmarked for the payment of the $ 10,000 $ 270,000 million bond . This social assistance plan, which does not yet have a certain closing date , is much broader than those launched in previous crises.

A recent report by the Central Bank points out that "the IFE reached 8.9 million citizens compared to the approximate 1.8 million of the Plan Jefes y Jefas", which was applied in the 2002 crisis. In this way, each payment of the The bonus is equivalent, in terms of GDP, to five times the monthly outlay of the Plan Jefes y Jefas.

According to an estimate by the Ministry of Productive Development, the IFE prevented 2.8 million people from falling into poverty and 1.4 million from falling into indigence,

The Central Bank noted that "60% of the national government's fiscal effort would go to low-income households."

"While the AUH allows reaching 60% of the households of the poorest 10% of the country, with the IFE it was possible to benefit 90% of those households," said the agency. This implies that 10% of the country's poor households do not receive the bonus , which leaves more than 300,000 families out of this key aid.
