The acquisition, " carried out under attractive conditions ", specifies the sign in a press release, concerns " 172 stores under the Supersol banner in Spain ", and allows it to strengthen " its position of number two in the country ".
It concerns convenience stores and supermarkets, mainly located in Andalusia and the Madrid region, which “ achieved sales of around 450 million euros excluding VAT in 2019 ”. " The enterprise value of the operation is 78 million euros ", specifies Carrefour.

The brand plans to convert the stores acquired to the convenience (Express), supermarkets (Market) and Supeco formats, and intends to make these stores " in the long term, new points of collection of orders ", which "will also contribute to the development of food e-commerce ”.
