European stocks are closing lower

European stock markets closed lower today, weighed by the performance of resource firms.

Reuters reported that the European STOXX 600 index fell 0.6 percent as mining companies incurred some of the biggest losses in light of the decline in raw material prices.

Unlike US stocks, European shares have not yet fully recovered from the very low levels they recorded in the midst of the Corona pandemic.
