Gold prices rose today to the highest level in nearly two weeks, with the dollar retreating to its lowest levels in several years.
Reuters reported that gold rose in the spot market 0.8 percent to 1985.64 dollars an ounce, after hitting the highest level since the 19 of August at 1989.42 dollars earlier in the session.
Gold rose 0.8 percent in futures trading in the United States to 1994.40 dollars.
