The crisis is wreaking havoc, but executives are hopeful that it will be overcome.

This is what the latest * Ifop / Cadremploi ** barometer reveals.

Indeed, they are 79% to think that their company will overcome the crisis and 23% to be “

very confident

”.

Only 3% of those questioned expressed deep pessimism about their company's ability to recover.

Paradoxically enough compared to the situation, the executives are rather optimistic,

analyzes Élodie Franco Da Cruz, head of studies for Cadremploi

.

It is always in the DNA of the executive to be confident, mobile and attentive to their market,

”she adds.

But this confidence varies greatly depending on the age of the executives.

Today, 70% of the over-50s surveyed say they want to stay in their business (compared to 52% last year), while only 43% of those under 34 want to (52% last year).

"

Profiles over 50 say they will have more difficulty finding another job,

" continues the head of studies.

Traditionally, the youngest are always more open to mobility,

” she adds.

She takes as an example a person under 35, single and childless, who "

takes less risk by resigning

" than an older person and in the same company for several years.

Concern about the general context

In addition, reveals the barometer, confinement has upset the professional vision of a large number of executives.

Moreover, the balance between professional and personal life has become the first criterion in terms of job search, determining for 71% of the executives questioned.

This criterion now ranks ahead of the geographical location of the company and even ahead of the level of remuneration, determining in 62% of cases.

"

The confinement has above all left psychological traces, it has led to a strong questioning

", decrypts Élodie Franco Da Cruz.

It evokes a “

real questioning also on their relationship with the company which pushes to make sure to privilege the balance between professional and personal life.

The head of studies expected to see the importance of the workplace in job search diminish even further, in the face of the significant growth in teleworking in companies.

With confinement, autonomy and confidence have also taken on a lot of importance in a few months.

Indeed, faced with this development of teleworking, executives expect their manager to trust them more, to be endowed with good decision-making skills and to be even more attentive.

These three elements generally define the ideal manager, according to the answers of the people questioned.

The executives always tend to be more confident for themselves,

still analyzes Élodie Franco Da Cruz

.

There they are confident about their job, their business, but the more we are in distant spheres, the less confident they are.

"
