Istanbul-Sana
Today, the Turkish lira recorded a new record low against the US dollar.
Reuters reported that the lira fell to a new record low of 7.58 against the dollar, as the Turkish currency plunged more than 21 percent against the US currency since the beginning of this year.
The dollar had set a record against the pound, reaching 7.56 pounds last Friday.
The Turkish currency continues to deteriorate due to the deteriorating political and economic conditions in the country as a result of the policies of Recep Tayyip Erdogan's regime and its repressive measures that led to a decline in tourism and investments and a decrease in the country's foreign exchange revenues.
