Chance of the calendar, Boeing presented, 24 hours after Airbus, the results of its annual program called ecoDemonstrator.
Since 2012, the American aeronautics giant has carried out each year, in partnership with airlines, agencies and suppliers, a campaign of ground and flight tests in order to mature innovative technologies as part of its research on plane of the future.
This program aims to extract innovation from its laboratories and R&D centers to be tested in real conditions.
Unlike Airbus, Boeing has not unveiled a "
plane concept
" or roadmap for 2035, a deadline promised by the European manufacturer to put a hydrogen plane into service.
"Hydrogen represents a unique promise, but its practical implementation is difficult because the regulatory and technical environment must evolve and mature alongside technology with major challenges to be met such as the storage and transport of hydrogen in all security.
