The mythical vehicle of Louis la Brocante, also known for having been the “salad basket” for the police, is reborn from its ashes.

In 2017, the Italian coachbuilder Caselani developed a conversion kit to adapt Citroën commercial vehicles into Citroën Type H vans, as Challenges explains.
Thus, it is now possible to make its Jumper van travel in time as well as the Jumpy and SpaceTourer models.
However, it is only the exterior that takes on a retro look with a wavy body, a front face similar to that characteristic of the original van as well as sheet metal wheels with a chrome hubcap.
The interior benefits from all the modern comforts of current vehicles.
This return to the 1940s, the decade which saw the birth of the Citroën type H, was made with the agreement of the French brand, says Challenges.
The 504 revisited
This is not the first time that car brands have resurrected iconic models.
In 2018, Peugeot presented an electric and autonomous concept car at the Paris Motor Show, directly inspired by the legendary 504 of 1979. A petition, calling for the production of the model as a production car, had then collected more than 30,000 signatures.
Peugeot boss Jean-Philippe Imparato had assured on Twitter that he would reconsider this request if the petition reached 500,000 signatures, recalling however that the cost of such a model oscillates between 70,000 and 80,000 euros.
