The Turkish lira hit a new record low against the dollar today.
Reuters reported that the lira registered 7,440 against the dollar, the lowest level ever, after it recorded 7,6365 per dollar at the close yesterday.
The dollar had set a record against the pound, reaching 7.56 pounds last Friday.
The Turkish currency continues to deteriorate due to the deteriorating political and economic conditions in the country as a result of the policies of Recep Tayyip Erdogan's regime and its repressive measures that led to a decline in tourism and investments and a decrease in the country's foreign exchange revenues.
