You have made one of the most important decisions in your life and decided what you want to study: you are going for a law degree.

First of all, you probably already know that there are still some years of schooling between you and the robe and the "objection", followed by internships and exams of the bureau, textbooks, sections, sub-sections and a variety of words in Aramaic.

We're not here to scare you, God forbid.

Studying law is a very important and blessed thing.

It is just important that you understand that in order to succeed in them, the entire fascinating process should take place in a serious and professional place, in a relaxing learning atmosphere and with the future in mind.

So after you have decided what to study, here are some important things that will help you make the next big decision: Where to study law in Israel.

Because of the lecturers

Many try to teach us things in life, but the wisdom is to know who to listen to.

The identity of the speaker can be all the difference at times, especially when it comes to a lot of legal material and sometimes also technical and didactic.

Therefore, you will probably prefer to listen to a senior and experienced faculty who knows how to incorporate anecdotes from a glorious and rich legal career into the teaching material.

The Safed Academic College School of Law recently refreshed its ranks in terms of faculty, and the school itself is now headed by Prof. Muhammad Vedad, who was recently unanimously elected by the deans of the Israeli law faculties to represent them in the public committee recommending candidates for the next Knesset attorney general.

Prof. Veded is also a regular guest on all the panels considered in Israel and around the world on the issue of the Israeli legal system in general and on the issue of the Supreme Court in particular.

Beyond that, no less than seven new professors, four senior lecturers and a number of young lecturers have been added to the teaching staff at the school.

In addition, the School of Law presents a serious and high-quality team of foreign lecturers, with the goal of the expanded faculty to reflect great and high-quality diversity in all the various areas of law, and to ensure that students receive the full scope of the law in Israel.

"As an institution of higher education," says

Prof. Veded, head of the law school

, "the law school in Safed is committed to social responsibility, bridging class gaps in Israeli society and striving to grow generations of legal leadership from the northern periphery."

Because of the tuition

An academic degree, insofar as it enriches the mind and psyche, is not usually cheap, especially for young people at the beginning of their careers.

Although universities are partially subsidized, they do not always set realistic admission requirements and private colleges open their gates to more students, but their cost may be three times higher than university tuition.

At the Safed Academic College, on the other hand, you can enjoy both worlds: a recognized academic degree, both college studies and a university tuition fee, which will not force you to use all of your grant and savings.

Without breaking down the grant and savings.

Because of the workshops and clinics

The Safed Academic College knows that studies are separate and deeds separate, and that if the theoretical material is not anchored in practical practice, it will never be properly absorbed.

The school of law's revolution includes a combination of many practical workshops, such as a judicial and judicial workshop, a patient rights workshop, a litigation workshop (civil, administrative and criminal) and an international trade law workshop, all alongside an impressive range of forensic clinics that help access legal knowledge In the North and assistance to vulnerable groups in Israeli society, such as the Clinic for the Rights of Defendants and Suspects, the Clinic for Legal Aid for the Needy, the Clinic for Consumer Protection and the Clinic for Enforcement of Debts and Insolvency.

Because of the northern atmosphere

Life in the Upper Galilee has quite a few benefits, both for the pocket and for the heart and soul.

If you have chosen to live in the college area, you will soon notice lower rental prices and a quiet and relaxed quality of life.

Add unique weather, intoxicating mountain air and a beautiful green landscape and you will see how each day opens with a feeling of complete peace.

And that is even before we mentioned the amazing culture, history and architecture of the place.

The Safed Academic College is located in the city center, with a series of historic buildings bordering the Old City and whose history is directly intertwined with the history of the State of Israel and Safed, from the second half of the 19th century to the present day.

Because of the special events

So that the school year does not feel too routine and lacking in diversity, the Safed Academic College takes care to spice it up with a variety of academic events, conferences, lectures and enrichment sessions.

Last year, for example, third-year students went on a study tour of the Supreme Court and had the opportunity to talk to Judge Dafna Barak-Erez. In addition, there was an open discussion meeting between judges and lawyers from the northern region, a research, writing and publication workshop in law for faculty members led by Prof. Ariel Bendor of Bar-Ilan University, an open day in collaboration with Ministry of Justice units on public sector internships. The Supreme Court (retired), Prof. Aharon Barak, a visit by the Minister and former Knesset member, Dan Meridor and more.

Add to all this the annual staged trial, which takes place at the law school and in which outstanding students appear before the greatest jurists in the State of Israel (judges, academics, lawyers, defense attorneys and lawyers). In previous years, the school has hosted Vice President (Retired) Eliakim Rubinstein, Vice President (Retired) Salim Jubran, Retired Supreme Court Justice Dalia Dorner, and Vice President of the Supreme Court, Shlomo Levin and other senior jurists.

Also in the coming school year, the School of Law promises to present a series of national and international legal events and conferences, in which senior members of the Israeli legal system and the world will discuss weighty legal questions that concern the legal world in general and the Israeli legal world in particular.
