The French have rediscovered their home during confinement.
They seem determined to continue to take care of it, to the delight of DIY players.
Demand is not as intense as it was in May, coming out of containment (+ 24.5% compared to last year), but it remains well above what the sector Usually notes: in August, sales were still 13% above their August 2019 level, according to the Banque de France.
Specialized distributors are taking advantage, and almost catching up on sales not made during the lockdown, when their stores were closed.
