The attack, which took place on September 4, targeted "
the IT infrastructures of Grand Besançon Métropole, the City and the Communal Center for Social Action of Besançon
", declared the elected representative in a press release, as well as "
several communities and administrations in France
”.
Malicious software, included in emails, then spread within computer networks.
Community data and other information, including the electronic address books of community officials "
were stolen
", as well as documents in emails and mailboxes.
If the data leak has been stopped, Anne Vignot announces that information "
