Forced to close for a fortnight, Marseille restaurateurs expressed their incomprehension this weekend against the government's measures.

In Paris too, where the bars will have to lower the curtain at 10 p.m. on Monday, a rally at the Invalides brought together a few dozen stunned professionals on Sunday.

After having already had to close their establishments from mid-March to early June, restaurant owners feel they are unfairly stigmatized.

“The sanctions that we are suffering are disproportionate and illegitimate,

insists Olivier Bertrand, president of the Bertrand Group, which has a thousand restaurants (Burger King, Hippopotamus, Léon de Bruxelles, Au Bureau…).

The restaurateurs have never taken to the streets.

They work 18 hours a day, they don't have time for that.

But today, a voice is emerging from the field: they can't take it anymore.
