Transport Minister Scheuer: Interpreters went unheard

The deliberations planned for Monday by Federal Transport Minister Andreas Scheuer (CSU) and his EU colleagues have been postponed due to technical problems.
"Unfortunately, the EU Council Secretariat was unable to clarify the technical problems in Brussels," said the Ministry of Transport on Twitter.
A new date is being sought and should be announced soon.
Because Germany will hold the presidency of the EU states until the end of the year, Scheuer is leading the negotiations with his counterparts.
On Monday morning, however, some of the interpreters' translations did not reach the participants.
The Council Secretariat apologized for the technical problems on Twitter.
Originally, the ministers wanted to advise on a pandemic emergency plan for freight transport initiated by Scheuer.
As a result, freight traffic and logistics chains should not be interrupted again as in the Corona crisis.
