French household consumption expenditure rebounded in August after a slight decline in July, driven by the increase in food purchases and consumption of manufactured goods, due to the shift in sales this year, INSEE said on Wednesday.
These expenses thus increased by 2.3% in August, after finally having fallen by 0.9% in July, according to a revised figure published by the Institute of Statistics.
