Discussions between Suez and Veolia since last Wednesday have indeed come to an end.
On the eve of the deadline, on Monday, of Veolia's offer to Engie to buy back its 29.9% of Suez, the president of the latter company, Philippe Varin, wrote to his rival:
"We consider with the board of directors of Suez met
(this Sunday, Editor's note)
that the proposed operation (...) remains hostile. "
