They launch the pre-trip program: how is the system that returns 50% of what was spent on tourism

From this Thursday the "tourist pre-sale" system is available, which seeks to encourage local tourism by giving customers a credit of 50% of what was spent this year on the purchase of their trips for 2021. The program foresees that the State will contribute $ 16,500 million.

The sector minister, Matías Lammens, announced that there are already 2,000 providers - among which are the main online sales sites, such as Despegar and Almundo.

They foresee that pre-sales will be made for $ 30,000 million.

This would imply a movement of $ 45,000 million to reactivate the sector in all regions of the country.

How do you access the program?

Pre-purchase must be made before December 31, 2020. Those made before October 31 may be applied to trips from January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2021. If purchased between 1 November and December 31, applies for trips between March 1 and December 31, 2021.

Once the pre-purchase of the trip has been made, you must register with a username and password at

, complete a form and upload the corresponding receipts.

Once the vouchers have been validated, the credit will be reflected on the Web and the tourist will be notified.

The accreditation will be in the BNA + Electronic Wallet (this process can take up to 15 days) and you can choose to receive a pre-loaded card issued by Banco Nación.

What purchases are included?

The purchases that generate credit are those made with tourist providers registered in the Program, made from its launch and until December 31, 2020 to be used within Argentina in 2021.

Included are accommodation, travel agencies, transportation, excursions, tourist centers, car and equipment rental, tourist attractions, gastronomy, entertainment and leisure, regional products, fairs and conventions and other tourist services.

What are the withdrawal limits?

The possibility of redeeming the credit will be enabled once the minimum accumulated amount of $ 10,000 has been reached between one or more vouchers.

The minimum amount per voucher is $ 1,000.

The credits that are generated within the framework of the Pre-trip program have a minimum of $ 5,000 and a maximum of $ 100,000, per person over 18 years of age, for purchases in the areas of accommodation, travel agencies and transportation.

In the rest of the items, the credits will have a maximum of $ 5,000.

All of these limits are per person.

Therefore, in a family group all members over 18 years of age can generate credits, as long as the receipts are in their name.

The refund applies to the total amount of the invoice, including all taxes

The 50% credit can be used on the purchased trip or on another but always during 2021, in national products from tourist providers with CUIT in Argentina and in gastronomy, from the check-in date.
