The Federation of Elevators, to follow a rising movement

2020-10-09T09:20:51.174Z

In order to bring together and communicate with 170 professionals from the world of elevators and lifts, the Federation of Elevators helps to promote a profession with many challenges.

More

than 570,000 devices in France

No, the car or the train are not the most used means of transport for the French.

With 100 million journeys per day, it is the elevator that sits on top of this ranking.

With 570,000 devices installed, including 13,000 new this year, the vertical mobility sector is very dynamic.

And the Federation of Elevators plays an essential role, bringing together 170 member companies.

"

This Federation plays a role in the construction of the city, by intervening in town planning, housing, access to housing and accessibility

", explains Alain Meslier, general delegate of the Federation of Elevators.

A need for information and proximity

The aim of this Federation is therefore to inform its members, to listen to the needs of users and to help take into account business requirements.

Indeed, through its SME commission, it organizes regular meetings to meet the more than 160 member SMEs, in particular to act as a link between the working groups of the Federation.

We favor proximity with our members.

We therefore have regional representatives close to local SMEs.

Our goal is to disseminate information on our profession, through local meetings or digital tools,

”adds Nathalie Lecacheux, president of the SME commission of the Federation of Elevators.

The elevator of tomorrow, a key issue

The Centennial Federation also uses modernity to promote the elevator of tomorrow.

It will be more energy efficient, more sober in terms of materials used and it will be connected, in order to anticipate any malfunctions that could arise on a device,

” predicts Alain Meslier.

In addition, with the government's stimulus plan, the Federation of Elevators also wants to get involved in keeping the elderly population at home.

Indeed, 95% of French people wish to age at home and the health crisis in nursing homes has only confirmed this trend.

Finally, in order to always keep pace with new market requirements, the Federation is seeking to modernize its elevator and elevator training programs.

And among the highlights of its 100th anniversary in this year 2020, the Federation is launching this fall the new edition of the Elevator Trophies, which will reward, in spring 2021, projects by project managers and contractors focused on the daily service provided by vertical mobility solutions.
