The former Minister of the Economy sent a letter to the Prime Minister in which he wonders about "a possible collusion within the State" in this file.

The former Socialist Minister of the Economy Arnaud Montebourg estimated this Friday that the takeover of Suez by Veolia was a "

rigged sale

" involving, according to him, "

a collusion at the top of the state

".

"

It is an extremely serious matter, it is a dismantling of a healthy company

", criticized on LCP the former deputy, for whom "

the State is responsible since they let it be.

They even encouraged

The former Minister of the Economy sent a letter to Prime Minister Jean Castex last weekend in which he wonders about "

a possible collusion within the State

" in this matter.

Thursday on LCI, Arnaud Montebourg had already targeted the State which "

has not done its job, it has not auctioned

" the share of Engie.

According to him, it is therefore “

a fraudulent sale, that is to say it was forced, under duress

”, a “

rigged

sale

, which will have to be canceled

”.

"

We are in a Russian-style scenario: the authorities have decided to take a prey and offer it on a plate to one of his friends, Antoine Frérot, the boss of Veolia

", accused Arnaud Montebourg, criticizing "

a scenario distribution of privileges to a small oligarchy

”.

"

We can not imagine that Antoine Frérot, boss of Veolia, launches a takeover bid on Suez, a box indirectly owned by the State, without going to notify the President of the Republic

", also underlined on LCP the deputy (LR) Olivier Marleix, who chaired the commission of inquiry into the sale of Alstom's energy branch to General Electric (GE) in 2014. “

We cannot imagine that he does not have an agreement from Emmanuel Macron, that 'he knows very well since the first (Antoine Frérot) was a supporter of the second during his presidential campaign, and therefore all this is done with the support of the State,

”he also accused.

According to Olivier Marleix, what “

proves that the State is completely in agreement with this strategy is that if it was against it, it would have asked for an extraordinary general meeting (at Engie to prevent the sale of its share in Suez in Veolia, Editor's note), and he had a blocking minority to stop the affair

”.

Government spokesman Gabriel Attal “

formally denied

” Wednesday the information from Mediapart on an intervention by the Elysee in the takeover of Suez by Veolia.

And the secretary general of the CFDT, Laurent Berger, affirmed Thursday that there had been "no call from the Elysee" to influence its representatives at Engie, who did not take part in the vote approving the sale to Veolia of nearly 30% of the capital of Suez.
