Luxury professor Fernando Fastoso: "A Louis Vuitton bag doesn't make anyone unique"

In Pforzheim students can soon learn luxury. They are taught by Fernando Fastoso. Here the brand expert talks about what constitutes real luxury - and what is its most valuable possession.

Fernando Fastoso

, 45, studied business administration in Düsseldorf and Newcastle and then did his doctorate in England.

He was a marketing professor at York and Bradford Universities for 15 years.

From the winter semester onwards, Fastoso will hold the endowed professorship for "High Class and Luxury Brands" at Pforzheim University.

In his research, Fastoso deals with global brands and international consumer psychology, the sustainability of luxury brands and counterfeit products.

He is married to an architect and has three children.
