Renault may have been a pioneer of electric cars, with the ZOE presented in 2009 and marketed in 2013, the manufacturer has fallen behind in building a real range.
Luca de Meo, the new Managing Director of the Renault group, has just lifted the veil on a new model, the Mégane eVision, a 100% electric crossover sedan whose mass production will start ... at the beginning of 2022. Large wheels, a domed hood, a sleek coupé design, a range of 450 km to WLTP standards… And a weight (1650 kg) less than the 1800 kg chopper set by the Ministry of Ecological Transition for the new penalty.
This model is supposed to pave the way for a new family of zero-emission cars that is more chic than what the Losange is able to offer today.
