Amélie de Montchalin, Minister of Transformation and the Public Service, announced this morning on BFM that with the Minister of the Interior Gérald Darmanin, she had "
opened the candidatures of the sub-prefects for the recovery to ensure 'have people on the ground
'.

We will do everything to ensure that this recovery becomes a reality and that elected officials, businesses and citizens come to an understanding (…) We are mobilizing so that the 100 billion euros become a reality
", specified the Minister.

Our objective is that we simplify so that we relaunch (…) We make sure that decisions are taken on the ground,
" she insisted.
The latter thus tries to forget a previous statement that had made people cringe.
On September 1, she defined the role of these officials as being to "
bring up all the administrative blockages, procedures, very complicated devices
", after the launch of the economic recovery plan.
And to specify, if it was not sufficiently clear: "
make sure that when you decide in Paris, something happens on the ground
".
This Monday, she tried to put local communities back at the center of decisions.
She affirmed that the creation of the posts of sub-prefects for the relaunch was aimed at "
putting people back into the field
".
It further specifies that "the
administrative simplification desired by the State will be ensured by the sub-prefects for recovery, who ensure that the funds are used for recovery
".
