SPIEGEL author Rützel with Juri: Very few dog people manage to limit themselves to the basics when shopping for pets

There are various indications that I am only conditionally prudent when it comes to money.
Especially when it comes to expenses related to my dog Juri.
I'll say it as it is: I spent 60 euros on a photoshopped portrait of him, in which his head was precisely mounted on a Julius Caesar body.
The tattoo on my forearm cost 200 euros, of course a portrait of Juri in the style of a classically drawn columnist's head.
And because autumn is coming and it's getting colder, I started looking for a fluffy dog bed in various online shops.
It should be nice, but also comfortable, currently I'm toying with the Yeti dog pouf, a round mattress with a special chamber system, covered with extra soft flokati, which has a recess in the middle.
In other words, a sleep donut that the dog can sink into.
The large version of the Yeti costs 299 euros, which my dog urgently needs, because Juri only has three beds.
I know I'm probably exaggerating.
