The IT giant announced on Tuesday the creation of a new platform, called Azure Space, which aims "
to make space connectivity and computing more and more accessible
" to entire areas of human activity. , from agriculture to energy, including aeronautics, telecommunications, but also governments and public institutions.

To this end, Microsoft has unveiled two partnership agreements with SpaceX, Elon Musk's space company, and with the telecom satellite operator SES.
These two partnerships aim to give Space Azure a global satellite base and access, to platform customers, to high-speed space connectivity services via SpaceX's Starlink constellation which rotates in low orbit and 03B, the one piloted by SES. in orbit
