The Ministry of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection called on its directorates in the governorates to intensify monitoring of markets and commercial stores and to take deterrent legal measures against anyone who exploits the price adjustment of oil derivatives for sale at excessive prices and exceeds the profit margins specified for each commodity or tampering with the invoices and prices and the sale of fraudulent, corrupt or expired materials or Monopoly on any commodity.
In a circular to which SANA received a copy of it, the Ministry indicated that it coordinates and cooperates with the executive offices and traffic branches in the governorates to determine and monitor transportation fees, adhere to the regulatory instructions, take deterrent penalties against violators, address complaints received from citizens directly to the governorates, and submit daily reports on the reality of markets and the prices of goods and materials in them.
