Shortly before 6 in the morning of this Thursday,
the regular domestic flights within Argentina finally returned
, after having been suspended for
seven months
.
The
Terminal C
of the airport of Ezeiza, which had been
torn down halfway
during still unfinished construction of the new terminal will be for a
few months the replacement of the Metropolitan Aeroparque, in turn closed for renovation until February.
There the passengers of the first
Aerolineas Argentinas
flight boarded
, bound for
Jujuy,
one of the few provinces that will not require additional requirements to those already established by the
Ministry of Transportation.
.
Shortly before 8 o'clock another flight will leave for
Mendoza
.
These two provinces, like others such as
Córdoba, Salta, San Luis and Neuquén
, decided not to ask for any special requirements from passengers coming from the AMBA.
Instead, there are eleven provinces that decided to require that
each passenger
undergo
a PCR-type test
to show that they are
negative
for Covid-19.
In some states, the test must be done
48 hours before boarding
and in others,
72 hours before.
Cabotage flights will be restricted in a first stage to workers considered "essential", people who must undergo medical treatment with their companions, and a few other categories.
Tourism is not authorized for now.
Among the requirements that Transportation requires, the most relevant is the Circulation Permit that is issued over the Internet and that can be stored in the Care application.
According to consultations made between the airlines, among the provinces that will add the requirement of a test are
La Rioja, San Juan, Santiago del Estero, Tierra del Fuego, Santa Fe, Chubut
(for flights to
Trelew
) and
Tucumán,
which will request a "Negative" PCR, done
72 hours
in advance.
Other provinces ask for the same test, but done
48 hours
in advance
.
They are
Corrientes, Misiones, Río Negro and Santa Cruz
.
Two flights that were scheduled to Corrientes and Posadas for this Thursday have
already been rescheduled
.
These definitions by the governors were just sent to the
National Civil Aviation Administration
(ANAC) throughout Wednesday.
And in the case of Aerolineas Argentinas, they are going to force the state airline to
reschedule
several of the flights
for seven days
, to give passengers time to take the tests.
The requirement also supposes an extra cost of approximately
6,000 to 7,000 pesos per test
.
In the middle of that uneven and heterogeneous map of authorizations there are at least two details that the governments decided at the last minute
so as not to ruin the photo
of the return of the flights.
Airlines has scheduled a flight to Tucumán for Thursday afternoon and, given the demand of the
Juan Manzur
government for
a test 72 hours in advance, the tourism entity of that province would have decided to mobilize its own resources so that these tests are carried out
later
of the flight, once on Tucuman soil.
A similar measure would have been taken by
Gustavo Melella
, governor of
Tierra del Fuego
: passengers who board for
Ushuaia
tomorrow at 9:00 am
will be able to take the tests
once they have arrived
.
What provinces do not require testing?
In principle, according to the same aeronautical sources, they are
Neuquén, Mendoza, San Luis, Córdoba, Jujuy, Salta
and, these sources assure, neither would a test be required to enter
Comodoro Rivadavia
(despite the fact that the same province requires it at the airport of Trelew).
The almost exclusive airline is
Aerolineas Argentinas,
with more than
100 flights
scheduled for the next two weeks throughout the country.
In the airline chaired by Pablo Ceriani they took for granted, on Wednesday afternoon, that they were going to have to
reschedule
several of the first flights to the provinces that now added requirements.
In some cases, with postponements of up to
seven days
.
Aerolineas issued a statement where it says that all destinations (including those that do not have greater demands today) must be checked on the company's website and entering
argentina.gob.ar/circular
to obtain the circulation permit.
On Friday he also has requested authorization to start flying the "low cost"
JetSmart
, from the
El Palomar
airport
,
with a first flight to
Mendoza.
Another airline that requested authorization to carry out domestic flights again is
Flybondi,
also from El Palomar, but as of November.
